Energy Work and Scientific Theory

Theories on electromagnetic energy, which your body’s made of, and electromagnetism, which is what keeps your parts “glued” together, explain how energy work like Reflexology and Therapeutic Touch is such an effective method of healing. Another theory that supports these therapies is the research on quantum non-locality.

According to Darryl Reanney, microbiologist, biochemist and author of Canticles to the Cosmos, and Music of the Mind, when two particles come into contact with each other, they adapt their similar characteristics in a way that opens a permanent channel of energy flow/communication between the particles. Once this channel is created, nothing can destroy it. Even if those particles are separated again, not even the distance between them can undo the link that was formed.

The creation of humans is an example of this merging and separating of cells (and their particles). Quantum non-locality implies that many channels are formed when the single cells come into contact and that those links remain intact throughout the development and life of the creature, even as the cells separate and form distinct tissues and organs. It stands to reason, then, that reflex points and zones, when stimulated in one part of the organism via treatments like Reflexology, will automatically “communicate” that stimulation to the other part(s) of the body where a link was originally established at the cellular level.
